A functional Lego trebuchet from Highschool:

It's outfitted with an adjustable pin that allows for fine tuning of the trajectory. What's really cool is that it will actually fire farther on wheels than if it's laid flush on the ground. It's got something to do with energy being lost in the backlash. Due to scaled proportions, and the low density of Legos, I supplemented the counterweight with downward pulling rubberbands. Cheating? Maybe, but I can still hit your turd of a castle from across the entire living room.

Lego people are easier to draw than real people.

WASTELAND:

I drafted this comic a in Olympia, WA on Hourly Comic Day a couple of years ago. Granted this one wasn't part of the event (it took more than an hour, and didn't fit with the subject matter), but the whole day is a nice way to get people motivated and inspired about the medium and it sparks a lot of ideas. If you haven't participated in an Hourly Comic Day (Feb, 1st), I'd highly recommend it.

After having followed the same drafting formats for so long, this comic was really an attempt to play with layouts a little bit and to go beyond the borders of the panels. I know it's not that radical, but you have to realize that most of my comics before this where perfect 2x8 boxes without any deviation.

Legos are the building blocks of my childhood

Here's a stop-animation I made 4 years ago over the summer. I used Legos and a little bit of MSPaint, and it all took around 2 weeks to put together. I've wanted to animate more but the time investment is a bit much for my current lifestyle. That and I didn't lug all of my Legos down to Arkansas.

This video is set to a great Johnny Cash song which warns of the dangers of mixing politics with . . . well really with Anything else.
